Story Collection
You may submit your story any time throughout the year for the Survivor Stories Project, to be included in an anonymous online library, or potentially, to use in awareness-raising campaigns during the year. An advocate will contact you upon receipt of your story.
your story matters. Your words have power!
Caring Unlimited collects stories written by survivors of abuse* to be read at our Survivor Stories Project performance during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October.
If you would like to participate by submitting a story, you may write in whatever format you choose (essay, a poem, in stream-of-consciousness style, etc). Please keep your story length around 1 to not more than 2 pages. Small edits may be made to ensure length and that no identifying information is included.
You may choose to identify yourself, read your own story, or remain completely anonymous. Your safety and comfort are our priority.
Use the online form to submit your story or email it to natasha@caring-unlimited.org.
You may use our optional writing guide to help organize your writing process.
You may also request help from a Caring Unlimited advocate by emailing: mail@caring-unlimited.org with: Story Support in the subject line.
*Survivors do not need to have received services from Caring Unlimited to submit a story.
