Sustaining Services, Creating Change: Late Summer Newsletter, August, 2025
A Message from the Executive Director:
Dear Friend,
As we soak in the warmth of summer, I’m reflecting on the incredible strength of our Caring Unlimited community, the accomplishments we’ve made together, and the path ahead.
This year, we’ve celebrated incredible milestones: honoring our 2025 Community Award recipients (page 4), hosting joyful summer events in our residential services programs, and completing long-overdue accessibility renovations at our emergency shelter. These achievements are a testament to what we can accomplish together.
But we know the work is far from over.
As we look ahead to FY26 and our 50th anniversary in 2027, we are setting bold goals:
Crafting a new strategic plan to guide our mission with clarity and purpose.
Working collaboratively with partners to address the urgent need for safe, affordable housing for survivors of domestic violence.
Expanding our volunteer network to meet the growing demand for services.
Ensuring every survivor who needs us knows we’re here, and that they are not alone.
Deepening survivor engagement through our Action Team and leadership opportunities.
These goals are ambitious—but they are also necessary. The need in our community is growing. Federal funding is uncertain. And too many survivors still face barriers to safety and stability.
