2021 Impact Report

Dear Friends,

When I consider the impact of Caring Unlimited’s work over the past year, I think of people: the people we empowered to change their lives, the people who educated themselves and advocated with us to change the conditions that allow domestic violence to persist; and the people who stood with us and supported all these efforts.

Your generous support and deep commitment to our mission shows how much is truly possible.

Support is possible. Our amazing volunteers, like Brandon, helped answer over 1600 calls to our 24-hour helpline. They made sure that anyone whose life has been impacted by domestic violence got the support they needed, whenever they needed it.

Peace is possible. With your help, we provided critical emergency assistance to over 200 individuals. From changing locks to repairing cars, we met the immediate and unique needs of families seeking to become safer from abuse.

Hope is possible. Caring Unlimited was one of just 16 organizations nationwide awarded a youth dating violence prevention grant from the Office of Violence Against Women. The grant increases our capacity to inform and inspire the next generation with more youth prevention programs and efforts to engage youth serving adults.

Safety is possible. We completed significant improvements to our 11-unit transitional housing facility and our emergency shelter for safety and function. More people than ever found safe, affordable housing thanks to adding two scattered site units to our transitional housing program and diversion funds that helped us prevent families from becoming homeless.

I can’t wait to see what we all make possible in the year ahead.
