Mental health staff can become advocates against domestic violence not only in their work with their own clients, but also by:
- Participating in local domestic violence task forces, boards of domestic violence victims’ services organizations, or similar groups.
- Volunteering at local domestic violence programs.
- Speaking to legislators, sheriffs, police chiefs, and prosecutors about domestic violence.
